Ardmore Station Cafe ( 6 Station Rd, Ardmore, PA) : We don’t often go out for breakfast, but I have an 11:30 tee time for the first round of the season, and didn’t want to play on an empty stomach. We’d enjoyed breakfast here before, and today was no different. I had a classic short stack with a side of crispy, sage-y real sausage links (three for $2.75 – a bargain.. as was the cup of cafe fries for a buck!!) My (stop taking pictures of your food) wife enjoyed blueberry stuffed French toast.) We split the up-charged ($2) real maple syrup, which was plenty for us both. La Colombe coffee (cheerfully refilled) completed the meal. < $23 for two before (after-tax) tip. Surprisingly uncrowded today (customers walking in all commented) service was efficient, cheerful and did not rush us at all. The cafe fries are those little cube-y types that Lou’s used to have. I don’t know if Ryan Christopher still serves them. Worth the additional carbs. The menu is pretty extensive (lots of pancake and French toast variations.) Kid-friendly. If I got out of bed earlier on weekends, I’d do this more often.
